[Ed. Note: Christmas time is here, as the Peanuts gang would sing, and Ron has his good-cheer spreading work cut out for him. So here it is. Update Late Wednesday Evening – Ron went 7-9 this week. It’s gonna take a miracle to break even.]
Thursday:
The Steelers are beat up and won’t need to score too much to win, but this game shouldn’t involve enough scoring for them to cover.
Saturday:
No – Dallas 6 1/2 ARIZONA
Two bad defenses in this one. Dallas probably manages to score enough to cover.
Sunday:
The Patriots still haven’t clinched their division, but they’ll start to rest players if they get a lead. Bills to cover.
No – CHICAGO 1 NY Jets
The Bears play better when facing adversity. Having clinched the NFC Central, they may let down a bit. The Jets have more to play for and should win.
Yes – Baltimore 3 CLEVELAND
The Ravens still need to win to ensure making the playoffs. They should cover on the road.
No – JACKSONVILLE 7 Washington
The Jaguars are playing to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Rex Grossman isn’t likely to throw 4 TDs two weeks in a row. Jags to cover.
Yes – KANSAS CITY 4 1/2 Tennessee
The Chiefs need this one and should take care of business at home.
Yes – Indianapolis 3 OAKLAND
The Raiders ground game should have a big day, but I’m not betting against Peyton Manning this week.
Yes – ST LOUIS 2 San Francisco
Ah, the NFC West. What a conference. I think I’ll go with the home team in this one.
It will be interesting to see what Tebow can do against the Texans’ porous defense, but Denver’s D is just as bad. Texans on the road.
Yes – GREEN BAY 3 NY Giants
Should be a great game. With Rodgers back for the Packers and this game an absolute must, I think Green Bay gets it done.
Yes – TAMPA BAY 6 Seattle
Bucs to win going away.
The Chargers need to win and the Bengals are done. SD to cover.
Yes – MIAMI 3 Detroit
I think the Lions can win this one outright.
Monday Night:
Should be a good one. Tough to bet against Ryan and the Falcons at home. They should prevail.
Tuesday Night:
NO – PHILADELPHIA 14 Minnesota
It’s hard to see the Vikings putting up much of a fight in this one. The Eagles need to win and should do so by plenty.
