In an interview with Essence.com, Kirk Franklin describes his new book, “The Blueprint: A Plan for Living Above Life’s Storms,” as “a transparent approach to talking about issues — from marriage to politics to sex and religion — and it’s from my perspective. Not from a Princeton, mainline, protestant, evangelical or liberal viewpoint, but from a 2010 Christian moderate, with swag.”
Sounds fascinating. Must pick up a copy.
According to the publisher, THE BLUEPRINT: A Plan for Living Above Life’s Storms (Gotham) will go on sale April 5, 2010 with a list price of $16. The book is part-memoir, part-instructional guide, chronicling Franklin’s struggles with drugs, teenage parenthood and poverty which, with the guidance of God, resulted in life lessons that ultimately brought success. Franklin has written this book to help others achieve success in their own lives.
“THE BLUEPRINT,” promises the publisher, “is the essential guide to creating a better you, one day at a time.”
