Dolphins at Play Making Bubble Rings and Frolicking With Stuffed Doll, By Linda Kirsininkas

Amazing! How did he do that?!? Years ago when my oldest son was in Kindergarten (he’s 23 now), he and I shared an afternoon at Chicago’s World-Famous John G. Shedd Aquarium. I had bought him a little stuffed dolphin at the gift shop and he was playing with it, making it “swim” along the underwater viewing wall of the Pacific White-Sided Dolphins tank. One of the dolphins in the tank swam up to the glass and followed the actions of my son’s little stuffed dolphin as he pretended to make it “swim” up and down. The real dolphin and the stuffed dolphin had such a wonderful time “swimming” together through the glass – an hour must have passed and my son was enjoying every moment of it! Absolutely astounding! The funny thing was, 15 years later when I took my two younger kids to Shedd Aquarium, we made sure to take along that little stuffed dolphin. We held that little stuffed guy up to the glass, and wouldn’t you know that same dolphin came up and played with it! Even the people around us couldn’t believe that little stuffed toy was attracting the beautiful dolphin! I have pictures of this – I’ll have to dig them up – amazing!!! (Can you tell I love dolphins?!?!)”

Here’s some of the pictures I took of the “happy reunion” fifteen years later – sorry for the glare off the viewing windows!
