The modern GOP is just a micro-version, the display model, of the American Dream’s pyramid scheme… Con people into it (often thru religion/family values, a sharp contrast to Europe’s workforce) and as those few who figure out they’ve been had, bow out or die, more are added to the pile, the bottom of the pile. Their mechanics are just one big infomercial/motivational seminar – “See how we live? Wouldn’t you like to be successful? Don’t you want to protect what you’ve worked for? Our enemies are your enemies, working to rob you of your livelihoods, rob you of your chance of achieving the American Dream. We’re winners; all others are losers – and you can’t become a winner by being soft on, or associating with losers.” “Losers” being a euphemism for the poor, intellectuals, liberals, scientists, minorities, etc. All a front for big business, every last ounce of it.
