Peacock Lane, the Grotto and the Zoo Lights are all overrated. The best Christmas lights in the Portland area (and perhaps the world) are the free Starkwood neighborhood display. You may drive or walk through. Just about every house in the neighborhood is lit up and they’re beautiful together. To get there, just head north on SE 111th St off SE Stark St and be sure to go down and see all of the cul de sacs in that neighborhood.
