The Asteroids Galaxy Tour are a delicious pop combo from Denmark consisting of the fetching, statuesque singer Mette Lindberg and the generally out of the spotlight but no less beautiful, producer Lars Iversen. Adding touches of psychedelia, funk, soul, and jazz to contempo dance grooves, they found an audience across the world when a 2009 track of theirs, The Golden Age, was used in commercials for Heineken and Mad Men. Their second album, Out of Frequency, will soon be available in the US and Europe. Heart Attack, the first single from that much-anticipated work, may be viewed below. This talented twosome, and their band, will be touring the US in early 2012. Tour stops include Portland’s Wonder Ballroom on 2/17, Seattle’s Neumos on 2/18 and– ten days earlier– at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall on 2/7 and Minneapolis’ 7th Street Entry on 2/8.
