My only thought is that I loved the first two Big Country albums, The Crossing and Steeltown. Legendary producer Steve Lilywhite is said to have preferred their first album, The Crossing, which he produced, over any other record by any band which he produced. This is high praise, given Lilywhite’s long-career and impressive output. I listened to those two initial Big Country albums more than any others during their two year span of relevance, then never listened to them again. I still love the Tony Butler and Mark Brzezicki rthythm section and the Stuart Adamson-Bruce Watson guitar interplay.
