Well, yeah, I get the message, but it’s a bit unrealistic. I mean it would be a good way to show that unions are responsible for making this actiion illegal. Then the band comes on and I can’t understand a word they say. They’re just screaming at me. Screaming in my opinion is not a good way to communicate and get your message across. I’ve been a teacher for many years and I have found that explaining anything to my students in a calm, straightforward manner gets the best results — not screaming. Personally, I don’t like to be screamed at. When I listen to the likees of Billy Bragg, Woody Guthrie, The Dropkick Murphys, to name a few artists, I get their message and I am inspired to help rally the fight. But when I’m screamed at, no matter what the cause or how worthy the cause is, I’m repelled and definitely not inspired to help fight for any cause the screamer is demanding I fight for.
