A fine young band from Los Angeles called The Rebel Light would like to call your attention to, “Goodbye Serenade,” the first single from their self-titled debut EP. It’s a catchy pop tune with a very pro sound. Gifted recordists, The Rebel Light recorded and mixed the EP themselves. According to vocalist Alan, the band then “kept the DIY theme going and recording costs down by recording the vocals in our bathroom and the drums in a wood shed.” Sound just can’t be more organic than what is heard in a woodshed.
The Rebel Light is offering the EP to you free of charge. As Alan says, “In the spirit of all that is indie and good in the world, we decided not to put this EP on itunes and instead give it away.” Thus, their self-titled work is available for a free download here:
