Despite only one EP and two singles under their belt (Diamond Waves 12 EP, “Sunny Afternoon” and “Tell It To The Wind” 7) Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation are on a blazing roll. To celebrate their Swedish Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, they have released a video for the track “Anything So Bright.”
The new vid is a collaboration with Elliphant director David Nord, who nicely picks up on the band´s love of hypnotic beauty, psychedelic experience and Trompe L’oeil imagery.
Josefin Öhrn and her band created a warm buzz in the normally chilly Scandinavia last year. They were immediately embraced by their peers in the Swedish experimental pop scene, touring with Goat and Les Big Byrd, and sending far away smoke signals with their intense and mesmerizing live performances at Stay Out West Festival in Gothenburg and Skankaloss Festival in Gagnef.
With overseas attention now piling up, Josefin and her band are ready to challenge the often male-dominated psych scene with their hypnotic gospel, dreamy soundscape and gorgeous looks.
