In the 1980’s there were a handful of life-changing records. Not just records that I loved -but ones that caused me to actually make changes in my life. The Dream Syndicate inspired me to move to California. The Rain Parade is partially why I got into the music business. One record that also affected me greatly was 28th Day – which led to me releasing solo records by Barbara Manning and Cole Marquis’s band Snowmen. And the musical chemistry between those two, was like “wow!” – If you’re of the praying type or whatever it is you do – please send good vibes to Cole today – who is undergoing heart surgery. Anyone who passed thru the San Francisco Music scene in the 80’s – feels like family to me – I’m NOT prepared to lose this guy just yet.
