Rodrigo Solo has released a new video for his single, “Tal Vez No Se Hunda El Barco” (Perhaps the Ship Won’t Sink), which was recorded live at Tumbador Studios in Venezuela. The song is from his debut album No Estas Solo (You Are Not Alone) which came out last June and features a top-notch band of Venezuelan musicians.
“Tal Vez No Se Hunda El Barco” is a song dedicated to Rodrigo’s native country Venezuela, in which he speaks out about the need to find balance in a time of crisis.
“This live session was a way to thank a country and a new generation of musicians who have given me so much inspiration,” states Rodrigo Solo, also a member and lead singer of the band Viniloversus. “When I heard that one of the most emblematic studios in the Venezuelan music scene, Tumbador Studios, was about to close its doors, I felt the best way to say farewell was to record a live session inviting my favorite artists in the current Venezuelan music scene to participate.”
Tumbador Studios is a central and contemporary music studio in Venezuela run by musician and producer, Carlos Imperatori.
“For me it was a very special occasion that represented the end of a chapter at a personal and professional level,” affirmed Rodrigo.
Musicians include: Laura Guevara on the cuatro and vocals, Gabriel Figueira (Gaelic) on the guitar and tenor sax, Violenta Josefina on bass and vocals, Diego Alvarez on drums and Ana Elba in minor percussion and chorus.
