What are the mathematical chances of 4 Navy ships suffering nearly unheard of collisions in one year?
Before this most recent deadly incident with the USS John McCain killed at least ten sailors, the previous collision was a direct hit to the Captain. His sailors had to use kettle bells from the ship’s gym to break into the cabin where the captain was hanging off the side of the ship like a cliché action movie.
If we are talking about an action movie, like say James Bond, imagine if these were Russian hacking attacks and the sitting US President cryptically answered of an ‘accident’ on the ship that bears the name of his political enemy:
“That’s too bad.”
What are the odds of such identical turns of fate? One in a billion? Not quite the odds of Trump winning the White House back when he announced his candidacy by declaring that Mexicans are rapists. The odds may need to be adjusted to Espionage.
America is terrible at keeping secrets. It may take years but imagine what future generations will say about this moment, if Western civilization does endure.
