This last quarter of the season – depending on where you live – when you’re really trying to make every day without rain and cold count. No wonder so many yearn for the “Endless Summer.” As an aside, I remember the first time I went to a Southern California beach – Zuma, Malibu. Driving thru the canyons in an early morning mist… and suddenly there it was, like Shangri-La. The smell and feel of the air – I’ve lived within 15 miles of saltwater for much of my life, but there’s nothing like a California beach. It’s distinct, like a Hawaii or Oregon beach. A guess this is my prelude to one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll songs ever recorded…
