The Father, the musician, the former stand out prep shooting guard Ethan Anderson headlines Neumos this Friday, Feb. 2 with Cody Beebe’s Rust on the Rails.
His band Massy Ferguson has been a mainstay of this Seattle scene for the last decade and with the help of Brighton label At The Helm Records, his band is starting to break in the UK.
Ethan is one of my mentors and friends on the scene I really appreciate and always want to support. I don’t know how folks like Ethan who are married with two kids, working full time find the energy to lead a band. Especially a good one.
But for many, music is just what we do. And thankfully we have a support system of friends that call themselves fans that let us live out our dreams on stages small and large. Neumos is a pretty darn big stage.
I’ll be in Kingston this Friday. But if I wasn’t I would be at Neumos supporting my big brother.
It takes a village. No matter what genres or boxes people put us in, some of us are just family.
– Musician and writer Davin Michael Stedman has many musical ventures and is one of the driving forces behind the Staxx Brothers. He will be partying in Kingston, Jamaica momentarily.
