I just stopped in to see my friend Marilyn’s new location for Cafe Zippy LLC. I worked with her at her last location when I was doing locations for the TV pilot for Tabitha: Witch of the Order.
The place is full of smiling faces on a beautiful day hinting at the promises of Spring.
Places like this are so crucial to the mental health and character of a neighborhood. People of all ages are chatting, doing homework, reading books, playing games. And of course sipping coffee.
It looks like she even has a beer and wine bar and more food and pastries than ever.
Seems like a wonderful place for an acoustic show or a small combo.
Everett is pretty nice on a crisp blue day like this. NPR waltzs above the caffeinated buzz of a hushed symphony of spoken words.
This is still a city where people can afford to live and enjoy the luxury of moments to reflect on what that means.
