Dan and Country Dave are the pillars of lap steele on this side of the Mountains. As in the Rocky Mountains. And I will put them up against all comers within an earshot of The Appalachians.

“About 20 years ago I started playing music again after some years away from full time playing, having children and being gainfully employed.
When I started playing again I met Katya Chorover, to play with her for a CD release show at the Tractor (I think). Well as soon as we played it was musical infatuation at first note, and I learned how magical it was to create music with someone that you communicate so deeply with. To this day, my blissful place is creating music with songwriters based on this kind of connection.
Katya and I used to always do this very familiar song (heard around many a Quaker or Unitarian campfire) with an arrangement of Katya’s that still sticks with me. Here’s an instrumental version for Katya. (3 tracks of acoustic baritone Weissenborn guitar).”
