The Shadow Church create an unconventional expression of the sacred. With acoustic and electronic instrumentation they create cinematic soundscapes that feel spiritual and otherworldly. The outcome is their spin on the electronic/noise-pop genre. They refer to their musical ideology as a “place of peace in the midst of a cultural war zone.” Based in Charlotte, NC, The Shadow Church performs with a troupe of rotating backup musicians playing anything and everything from the fiddle to the hip-hop essential turntable. They have just released an album called, Release the Stars.
