PUSSY RIOT MEMBER NIKA NIKULSHINA ARRESTED IN MOSCOW – AGAIN!

Pussy Riot’s member Nika Nikulshina is arrested in Moscow – for no reason – and this is the second time in one month she’s been detained. This time it’s even worse: being detained already for 7 hours, she’s going to spend the night at the police department. Tomorrow starts a period of days-off in Russia, so from May 9-12 it would be possible that Nika will spend these days in detention as well.

Police officers, 10 of them, arrested Nika at the home of her friends. They also arrested four of Nika’s friends who were in the house. The officers explained that Nika was needed for questioning because “a group of young people have damaged a piece of government property” – which is yet another absurd claim by the police without any official accusations filed.

The police does not let Pussy Riot’s lawyer see the detainees. They don’t let the relatives give them food, although it is allowed by Russian law.

While being detained, Nika started to feel sick, and the police had to call an ambulance for her.

Nika is one of the four Pussy Riot members who participated in the World Cup action past July, when Putin himself got to see Pussy Riot running around the football field in the police uniform. It might be the Kremlin’s revenge for the action. Less than a month ago Nika was arrested on April 16 on her way to a major theater awards ceremony, where she was among the nominees.
