ORG Music recently released a vinyl reissue of David Hillyard & The Rocksteady Seven’s debut album, Playtime, in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Available on vinyl for the very first time and originally released via Hellcat Records / Epitaph Records in 1999, Playtime is a mostly instrumental affair that highlights Hillyard’s deft compositional and saxophone skills with a blend of rootsy and danceable Jamaican-flavored jazz and world music. Guest vocalists include Alex Desert and Greg Lee.
