Released in 1981 on an album of the same name, I recall this song was a breakthrough of sorts, driving through the college radio ether and making Americana music seem youthful and energetic again. Joe Ely kicked a door open and Steve Earle drove a truck through it. The Blasters were there too as well as Los Lobos and the Escobedo brothers in their various bands. Movement thus ignited, the tune still quickens the heart to this day.
