Singer-songwriter and actress
Emily Lind shares a cover of Sufjan Steven’s holiday original, “That Was The Worst Christmas Ever.” A beautiful stripped-down rendition released just in time for Christmas. The single premiered with
American Songwriter, praising, “Backed simply by acoustic guitar,
Lind’s graceful, delicate vocals soothe the lyrics.”
“I’ve always loved Sufjan’s take on writing holiday music. Not to get all sad boy here, but I think there’s something so nice about the realistic spin he puts on a genre of music that is very one dimensional. It’s a beautiful song, and a stunning melody and I hope you like it as much as I do.”
The cover comes after the release of Lind‘s debut “Castles.” In the same month of the release of her debut single was the release of blockbuster Doctor Sleep which Emily stars in. She plays the iconic Stephen King character, Snakebite Andi.
Last month, Lind also announced an upcoming album, set to be released in 2020. With more music on the way, Lind is an artist to keep your eyes on as a rapidly rising singer-songwriter.
