Matthew “Murph” Murphy, guitarist and lead singer of The Wombats, today unveils the second part of his solo project Love Fame Tragedy’s debut live session EP, Live From SIR, Hollywood, released via Good Soldier Songs / AWAL Recordings. The live EP is made up of selected tracks from Love Fame Tragedy’s first two EPs I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It and Five Songs To Briefly Fill The Void, released last month.
Recorded in October at the legendary Studio Instrument Rentals in Hollywood, which has welcomed the likes of Sting, Joan Jett and Nile Rodgers in the past, part two of the EP consists of the undeniably memorable “My Cheating Heart,” debuted on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record, the tongue-in-cheek “Please Don’t Murder Me” and “Riding A Wave,” which comes accompanied by a live video of the session — watch here. They join previously released tracks “Body Parts,” “Pills” and “Multiply” to complete the EP.
