Music has always played a big part in Ulf´s life starting early in his younger years in his home town Halmstad listening to the classics like BB King, Muddy waters, Elvis Presley etc and at the age of 15, he and three like-minded friends got together and formed a 4-piece band, Baltasar Band, dedicated to playing songs by The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and other 60s-70s acts.
After studying science and math in college he decided to leave Sweden and try something new. That decision took him from train-hopping across Europe to hauling frozen fish in Norway to singing in hotels in Spain and Cyprus. After those trips he spent several years in Sweden and Denmark working in different show restaurants singing and waitering tables, all the while nurturing his dream to write and sing his own songs again.
2011 he recieved a phone call from the production team on “The Voice Sweden” saying they wanted him to audtion for the show, which he did eventually.
The year after auditioning he got the people’s attention when he won the show performing his original, country flavoured, song “I let the angels see me home” in the final. He landed a major label record deal and in 2013 his debut album “Little by little” saw the light of day. The title track was a huge cross-over hit and gained heavy rotation on both mainstream and rock radio. Ulf spent the following years touring and playing in front of thousands of fans, making multiple appearences on TV and radio both in Sweden and Germany. The remix of the song by Dutch DJ ‘Lulleaux’ also quickly became a big hit In Germany and got featured on multiple compilations, such as “About Berlin” and “Germany’s next top model”-.
