Nubella Honey is a stylish, post-modern, funk pop creator originally from North Carolina. She subsequently relocated and updated to America’s Finest City and trans-national musical hub, San Diego, during our recent time of biological uncertainty and economic loss.
2020 and 2021, the plague years, outdelivered Amazon in terms of many things— a lot of pain, a lot of isolation, a lot of self realization— yet the turbulence cultivated a singular sound in Nubella that transcended funk, pop, soul, lizard rock and shiny hip hop. As her new album, Sagittarius, began to grow organically, a uniquely feminine tone, a dashing, athletic style, and an incandescent presence took over her songwriting.
And nothing will ever be the same again.
