Eastern Oregon’s Spirit Mother to Rock Revolution Hall PDX on June 12th

Spirit Mother is an American, heavy, psychoactive, rock formation. The Obelisk describes their sound as “languid grunge blasted into outer space in the desert night.” Originally from Long Beach, CA, the band now jams, writes songs, and zealously guards their privacy on an isolated ranch house in the high-desert militia country of Eastern Oregon.

Spirit Mother become a rapidly rising force in the stoner/doom scene over the last few years, with their spaced out sound that features Armand Lance (vocals, bass), SJ (violin, vocals), Sean McCormick (guitar) and Landon Cisneros (drums). Their debut album, 2020’s Cadets, received rave reviews and was followed by their cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows” and 2021’s live record Spirit Mother – Live In The Mojave Desert Volume 3.

The band stayed busy during lockdown by reloading and putting together a new collection of music. The first two songs of this collection were released exclusively for their acclaimed live record/concert film, “Live In The Mojave Desert Volume 3” a Stoned And Dusted production released jointly by Giant Rock Records and Heavy Psych Sounds Records. Their set was described as “a distinct chance we’ll look back on this is as an early gem from a band going places” (The Sleeping Shaman).
