Rising Houston rapper Lebra Jolie celebrates signing to Interscope Records by unleashing her major label debut, “Spring, Summer.” Listen HERE. The defiant party anthem doubles as a statement of intent as the newcomer lays down her approach to life, love, and the industry. “Spring, Summer” is bolstered by a suitably balmy video.

The rap phenom has been percolating locally for a while now, and “Spring, Summer” underlines why Jolie is one of H-Town’s most exciting MCs. Over evocative synths, epic drums, and stark piano notes, Lebra spits, “The streets don’t belong to em/They belong to me/Treat a n***a like a drive-thru/Welcome to Wendy’s/Go holla at them other hoes/You wanna do some shit for free.” The title is also an ode to one of the most iconic “Real Housewives of Atlanta” viral moments and highlights Lebra’s sense of humor.
The confidence of “Spring, Summer” is reflected in the video, which finds her chilling poolside. Lebra commands our attention as she’s served bubbly by shirtless hunks. She also lounges on a pool float and flexes in front of a bright, red sports car that glimmers in the sun—almost as brightly as her signature “LEBRA” chain.
It’s a powerful entry to the big leagues and as Baroline Diaz, Interscope VP of A&R puts it, “I met Lebra about 3 years ago, and I instantly knew she was a star! Her confidence & energy is like no other. I have no doubt that her talent and resilience will leave a mark on the industry.” Nicole Wyskoarko, EVP, Co-head of A&R, adds “Excited for Lebra to join the Interscope Family! She’s built a solid foundation on her own and we’re glad she chose to partner with us for the next phase of her career. I look forward to everything she’s going to accomplish in the future.”
The Houston native got her start as a preteen, penning poetry that led to her rhyming over Limewire beats and uploading to MySpace. From there, Lebra’s YouTube channel became a visual hub for her talent as she steadily built a strong following in the local scene. With moments like her freestyle over Future’s “Mask Off,” it soon became clear that she was on the verge of something great, inspired by fellow Houston titan Beyoncé, plus Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.
2021 marked a major turning point when “Now What” propelled Lebra to new heights. By the summer, she had dropped two more bangers—the high energy “Choppa” and “Jolie (Freestyle),” which crystallized her place as part of hip-hop’s new guard. Jolie was signed by industry veteran Caroline “Baroline” Diaz to Interscope Records, and that relationship has already paid dividends with her hard-hitting, party-starting single and video, “Spring, Summer.”
