ABOUT KUR:
KUR
recognizes, respects, and reveres the potential of wordplay to effect change. As such, the Philadelphia phenomenon aspires to be more than a rapper. With his hometown on his mind and in his heart, he speaks for those who need a voice the most. He embraced hip-hop as an artform way back in high school. He went from rapid-fire lunchroom freestyles to fan favorite mixtapes, including Straight From The Kur and Upside Down Cake EP. He attracted Meek Mill to his corner and linked up with Dave East for the Born Broke, Die Rich EP. During 2019, he shook up the culture with Shakur highlighted by “Crack” and “Soul” [feat. Mozzy]. Meek christened him “the soul of Philly” and welcomed him to the DreamChasers family in partnership with Roc Nation and Republic. Following It Shouldn’t Be Like This, he maintained his momentum in 2022 with The Hold Over EP and his debut at the Roots Picnic, which REVOLT hailed as “a stepping stone for what’s to come in his career.”  After piling up tens of millions of streams and views and earning widespread acclaim from XXL, Raydar, and more, he tells his story like never before on his 2022 mixtape, Loyal To A Fault [DreamChaser Records/Roc Nation/Republic Records].
