Slim’s Last Chance Saloon will host the event Saturday, September 17, 2022
Seattle musicians Carrie Akre, Kid Sensation and DJ Funk Daddy have teamed up with Slim’s Last Chance Saloon to support the As Many Weirdos As Possible photography documentary project. Proceeds from the concert will go directly to support the project.
“The ultimate goal is to bring awareness to this great documentary project, and have some fun while doing it. Bringing Carrie, Kid, and Funk together has never been done before,” said Rachel Crick, photographer, for the As Many Weirdos As Possible project. “We are excited to introduce people to Seattle musicians they may not have heard together in the past.” Crick continued, “It’s a great opportunity to support musicians we grew up with, who are continuing to make new music and an impact with their talents.”
The As Many Weirdos As Possible project is a collaborative still life documentary project focused on capturing portraits and stories of people involved in Seattle music history between 1985 and 1995. To date they have worked with 100 plus instrumental people across multiple genres and occupations whose paths can be directly traced to music across the Pacific Northwest.
The concert is Saturday, September 17th, 2022 – doors open at 7:00, show starts at 8:00. Tickets are $20 in advance via the Slim’s Website or at the door.
