“Sudden Sea” is the third single from Austin–based bedroom–pop duo Solo Solo which is out today. The sparse and short lived track which comes in under two minutes is the final glimpse into the bands EP which comes out next month. “Sudden Sea” releases in tandem with a sleek 4K lyric video and is the follow up to the band’s most recent single “Pure Graffiti”
“For us, this is a track about the harsh weather associated with goodbyes. Hindsight is 20/20 but only if we can look back without lying to ourselves about what really happened. It’s about a gray, winter light that reveals the passing of time with cold accuracy so that, unvarnished by self-deception, we can move into the New Year unburdened by the past and romantic about the future” explains Greg Denn of the new single.
Solo Solo is an indie rock, sibling duo. They live in Austin. They wrote, recorded, and mixed their first songs during quarantine in a storage unit. It was really hot in there. Greg’s the big brother. He got hit by a car and only has one-and-a-half legs now. Jon’s the little brother. He’s normal af. Their genre is technically indie rock, but it’s really “Early Tarantino.” They only speak in movie quotes and they both think they’re the lovable anti-hero.
