Joonti, the young Puerto Rican who has emerged as a powerful force in the urban industry, has released his new single “Tu gato,” which premieres with its official video and is available today on all digital platforms.
For Joonti, music is an escape and the most genuine way to drain emotions; this song “Tu gato,” which was inspired by him and co-written by Andrea Bastardo and Johan Muniz, tells the story of a boy experiencing heartbreak, the kind that causes tears, insomnia, and separation anxiety. It’s a powerful song with which many men can identify completely.
“Tu gato” was produced by JS Beatz, under the AP Global record label.
“I am thrilled to be able to present this song to you with such emotion, because music helps us drain and feel what we find difficult to accept,” Joonti said.
Joonti’s musical successes include “Cobarde” (2.5 million views on YouTube), “Necio”, “Callado”, “Daño Collateral”, with over 2.3 million views on his official video clip and over 388 thousand views on Spotify, and “Tempestad” with Puerto Rican Moffa. Joonti ended 2022 with over 8 million views on his YouTube channel and over 39,000 listeners on the Spotify platform.
“Tu gato” makes its debut along with its official music video, which was shot in Puerto Rico and directed by Ricky Rekap. The audiovisual piece, set in the “90s” and with a distinct colorization, portrays Joonti attempting to resume his routine, but memory and loneliness make the task difficult.
