Tip of the hat to Mark Erickson for making me aware of this progressive folk masterpiece, or as he called it, “rockin’ nyckelharpa.”
This music was produced by Patrice Albert, who describes it in this way on the song’s Youtube page:
“This track is from my Neofolk musical project (inspired by Celtic, Nordic and Medieval musics), called “Droymmørke”. It’s a personal version of a Gary Moore song. In addition to my own arrangements, I composed some additional parts. I used medieval instruments such as nyckelharpa, Irish bouzouki, uilleann pipe, whistle, harp, Zither, to which I added choirs and bass guitar . Arranged and produced by Patrice Albert. Visual by Mélina Donati.”
