PILADE: Cuban folklore in Hallyx’s debut single

Alessandra Arcangeli, aka Hallyx, is an Italian-Cuban singer-songwriter and actress. She graduated from the “Silvio d’Amico” Dramatic Arts Academy in Rome. Hallyx spent her childhood summers in Cuba, traveling several times and living for a year in the United States. This traveling experience inspired her music and art, which comes from various languages and forms.

The new single, “Pilade”, is a Cuban Folklore/Latin-pop song that meets Pasolini’s theatre and gives voice to the soul of Hallyx. Through the character of Pilade, the song tells her personal story, recalling past traumas and childhood hard experiences.

Hallyx commented about the single: “I am Pilade. Pilade is Hallyx (Alessandra Arcangeli). Pilade is whatever human being that is in silence for whatever reason. Pilade is here to give courage to every soul, who’s feeling not allowed to express, OUT LOUD, their voice.”

This new single is the perfect way for Hallyx to express the struggles of her past and to give courage and support to others who are facing similar struggles. “Pilade” is an uplifting and inspiring song that will surely be a hit among Hallyx’s fans.
