Zoey Tess – Turn Me Up (her aunt was on The Rockford Files and every other great seventies show)

Zoey Tess Loglisci, known professionally as Zoey Tess, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Coconut Creek, Florida on January 1st, 1993, she began her career as a singer and songwriter at the age of 14. Tess and her family moved to Newtown, Connecticut when she was just three-years-old. Her father a former scout for the Miami Marlins, and her mother a former ballet dancer. She began studying classical piano at the age of four, performing in recitals and showcases around Connecticut and New York. Throughout her early childhood she studied piano, acting, dance, violin and classical voice. She studied classical voice in New York City under the direction of Marko Lampas, a graduate and teacher from the prestigious Juiliard School and a protégé of the internationally renowned opera singer Maria Callas. Tess credits her gift of piano to her late Grandmother who was a “brilliant concert pianist” and musician.

For most of her schooling Tess attended Rumsey Hall School in Washington, Connecticut, eventually continuing her education online and also through homeschooling. After graduating high school, Tess moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to live with her family.

Zoey looks to her Aunt, legendary television actress Corinne Camacho as a source of inspiration. Corinne appeared in ‘Little House on the Prairie’, ‘The Rockford Files,’ ‘Medical Center’ and many other iconic TV shows as part of a career that spanned four decades. Her early childhood similarly began with studying classical piano at The Conservatory of Music and Arts in New Jersey. Corrine’s career began in Los Angeles, California as a model in the 1960’s. It would soon lead to an illustrious television and film career. After acting, she recorded an album of children’s songs, “Love Notes & Lullabies” which was released in 2006. Sadly, Corinne passed away on September 15th, 2010 in Beaverton, Oregon, where she had been working as a life coach. She was 68. Variety Magazine, The Emmys and other news media paid tribute to the beautiful and gracious “TV Thespian”. Tess has hopes of following in the footsteps of Corinne’s talents and success, but also admires her Aunt’s kindness and philanthropic nature.

Zoey is a songwriter above all else and her heart is happiest writing music for other artists and bands. She loves to experiment with different sounds and styles, keeping people on their toes. She creates a blend of pop, jazz, r&b and dance, while maintaining her own unique style, image and sound.

‘Turn Me Up’ is a sexy pop, dance, club song. It’s the perfect song to let loose at the club. “I had been writing so many sad breakup ballad type songs,” says Zoey, “and I wanted to write about the girl I always dreamed I could be. The girl who is confident, meets a guy on the dance floor and takes him home. The song deals with a girl who is debating whether it’s right or wrong but decides to just go with her intuition.”

Jimmy Garner really liked Zoey Tess’s Aunt Corinne. She may have introduced him to the joys of eating tacos on the beach after solving a case, a gastronomical routine for which The Rockford Files has long been remembered.

And The Six Million Dollar Man, with his suave mustache, respected Zoey Tess’s Aunt Corinne as well!

Alan Alda also was fond of Aunt Corinne.
