“Back to Life” is our reminder that what was once dead is made new and brought to life by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I’ve seen so many people take this song and create videos sharing their testimony of how God redeemed their situation. I’m encouraged that people are finding hope in this song and are reminded that God loves unconditionally. – Zahriya Zachary
Born and raised in Spring, Texas, Zahriya Zachary didn’t come from a musical family, but her love of music began at the early age of six while learning to play the piano. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at Texas Tech, the Lord told her it was time to begin her journey into worship. Throughout her time in college, she began volunteering on her church’s worship team while the Lord was teaching her more about what it means to have a worshiper’s heart.
Zahriya made her debut on Homecoming (Bethel Music 2021) where she led “Back To Life” and joined Brian Johnson in leading “Hymn Of Heaven”. Her debut solo single, “Simple Ways”, was released in the summer of 2022 and reflects on the simple joys that often go overlooked in the chaos of day-to-day life. Most recently, she appears on Come Up Here (Bethel Music 2023) leading “Surrounded By Holy”.
Zahriya believes that worship is the place where we belong; it’s the most natural and innate thing that the Lord has called us to do; it doesn’t have to look like music either, it can look like so many things. Her heart is that people will forget about her and be brought straight to Jesus, whenever she leads.
