NEW YORK, NY (September 7, 2023) — Following a summer filled with concerts and performances on major festival stages around the world, from Lollapalooza Chicago, Corona Capital Mexico, Reading & Leeds Festivals UK & Pukkelpop Belgium to supporting Louis Tomlinson’s Headline Arena Tour in North America and headlining their own US tour, the band is now releasing a live version of their newest single “Somebody Like You (live)” via Mercury/Republic Records, which was recorded at their last concerts of their tour in the US.

“We wrote ‘Somebody Like You’ in just a few hours in our rehearsal room,
playing and writing together as a band releases a special energy and we tried to capture that feeling on the record.
Lyrically we wanted to explore a vignette form of songwriting, telling different stories of different characters in each verse.

Following the success of “Bedroom Exile”, which has amassed over 6.7 million streams on spotify, the new track combines celestial chimes with bright guitars over a hypnotic beat. The hook, “I let my guard down for the moment. Wherever you go, I’ll be going too. I’ve been waiting for somebody like you” is set to become the next arena-anthem and get the audience singing along.
After a few concerts in Europe, the band will return to America in November for the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico (all dates on www.giant-rooks.com).
