NASHVILLE, TN – (October 27, 2023) – Baseball trailblazer turned country music sensation Bryan Ruby is set to dazzle the world with his latest musical gem – Diamonds Are Forever. The six-song debut EP is poised to be the first crown jewel of his burgeoning country music career, showcasing undeniable talent and charisma. The new EP is available today on all digital streaming and download platforms HERE.
Ruby’s journey from the baseball diamond to the stage has been nothing short of extraordinary. From hitting home runs to hitting the high notes, he has seamlessly transitioned from one spotlight to another, capturing hearts and adoring fans. Diamonds Are Forever is a sparkling collection of songs exploring adventure, love, and the pursuit of dreams. Each track glistens with heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies, and the raw emotion that has become Ruby’s signature. This EP is not just about music but a story of transformation, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
“Playing ball was my upbringing and everything I knew as a kid. The EP, Diamonds Are Forever, closes out that chapter and celebrates all those memories on the diamond, from tossing the ball around on dusty ballfields back home to the last five years of hittin’ the road as a journeyman pro player. I can’t think of a better capstone than these six songs.” shared Bryan Ruby. Unsurprisingly, his former teammates have been the first to champion the project, “It wasn’t until I played them for my buddies that the whole thing really hit home.”

Produced by Nashville producer Smith Curry, The EP features a stellar lineup of musicians who have lent their expertise to create a sonic experience like no other. The result is a musical journey that is as unforgettable as the title suggests.
On lead single “Left Field,” an upbeat jam featured on The TODAY Show, SiriusXM Country Pride, and the Academy of Country Music’s Ultimate Pride Playlist, slugger Daniel Bonfiglio found “endless determination, joy, and possibility.”
“I immediately said yes.” Said Grammy-nominated duet partner Ty Herndon when asked about joining forces with Ruby for the follow-up single “The Standouts.” Herndon said the “song demonstrates the values of love and acceptance and respecting people for exactly who they are.” Ruby would know, having overcome the challenge of coming out as the sport’s only openly gay player in 2021.
“Warm afternoons, heading to the ballpark, and excitement in the air- game time!” commented left-handed pitcher Max Spencer on “Centerfield,” a cover version of the 1985 John Fogerty classic. The retro jam received approval and recognition from Fogerty himself and is the only cover song on the project.
Upbeat Country-Rock slammer “Baseball Country“ Brought me back to my little league days when I was just happy to be on the field, doing what I love.” said Jonah Van Bemmelen, a pro baseball pitcher and actor in War On The Diamond.
“Every adventure needs a soundtrack.” Said South American baseball legend Evan Brisentine, when asked about intrepid middle track “Two For The Road.”
Hard-throwing Mavericks Independent League All-Star Relief Pitcher Brenden Nipp felt a connection to the title track “Diamonds Are Forever,” which reminded him of “experiences and friendships that without baseball, I don’t think I would have.”
