Ryan Castro, the leader of the new generation of Reggeaton in Colombia, has been reeling in Regional Mexican artists into the urban landscape. Following the release of his 2x platinum global hit “Quema” alongside Mexican phenomenon Peso Pluma, Castro teams up with Luis R Conriquez for new song “Plebita,” an urban fueled track that merges the two cultures once again.
“Plebita” maintains the street sound for which ‘El Cantante Del Ghetto’ is known for, this time narrating the story of a girl who falls in love with a neighborhood bandit. The track also marks the first time Luis R Conriquez crosses over to the urban genre, which Castro has been continuing to successfully pair with artists in the Regional Mexican market, establishing him as the go to artist in the urban scene.
Additionally, Castro has hinted on socials that there may be a Corrido Bélico in the works. “Plebita” is furthermore set to be on Ryan Castro’s long awaited album El Cantante Del Ghetto debuting in 2024.
Earlier this year Castro participated in a series of high profile collaborations that include “Chichi Pana” with Maldy, “Ritmo De Medallo” alongside Feid, “Una Noche En Medellín Remix” in collaboration with Karol G and Cris MJ and “Ghetto Princess” with Ovy on The Drums and Bad Gyal, to name a few.
