About Amirah
Amirah Hall, native Virginian. Her musical journey began at the tender age of three and a half, when she commenced learning to play the piano. By the time she reached seven, she had the opportunity to sing her first solo in the church choir. Throughout middle school, Amirah continued to cultivate her musical talents by joining the school band and learning percussion. Inspired by her mother, a poet, she embarked on her own journey of writing about her experiences.
The world came to a standstill when the pandemic struck halfway through her eighth-grade year. It was during this time that Amirah decided to take a leap of faith and venture into TikTok, posting her first video in March 2021. Just three months later, her captivating performance of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” went viral, garnering over 11 million views, all while she was only 15 years old. This remarkable achievement caught the attention of Grammy Award-winning producer and artist Mustard, who invited her and her family to Los Angeles to meet the rest of his 10 Summers team. For the next three years, she dedicated herself to recording with Mustard, both in the studio and at home, while simultaneously attending high school.
Now, just a few months away from graduation, while her classmates may be contemplating their next steps, Amirah stands poised to share with the world the fruits of her labor during this extraordinary period.
