Set to Open for Sting, Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes and Residente at Capitalia Festival in Dominican Republic for 50K Spectators

Latin GRAMMY nominated Dominican rap star, J Noa, spits realness in new single “Cenicienta“, produced by award-winning producer Trooko (Residente, Bad Bunny), out today via Sony Music CAC. From hip hop’s inception, female rappers have long felt the pressure to sexualize themselves to sell records but not J Noa. She opens “Cenicienta” proudly reaffirming that she doesn’t show off her assets to get attention and encourages other female artists to sharpen their craft and pen their own songs rather than use their bodies to sell their music.
The visuals were directed by her collaborator, Lennyn Salinas, and take us on a journey through her neighborhood in San Cristóbal, DR, where we see the rapper trying to make the shoe fit both as Prince Charming and Cinderella while disrupting an industry where monotony seems to dominate.
Earlier this week, J Noa wrapped up a 9-city European tour with Rawayana which was a massive success selling over 17K tickets. Last month, the global fashion brand BERSHKA tapped J Noa to launch BERSHKA Music, a unique initiative to promote original music by emerging artists who stand out in different musical genres. In collaboration with Sony Music, GALLERY Sessions and Casa Limón, the content platform will showcase original singles or remixes by selected artists along with original content premiered exclusively on BERSHKA’s TikTok profile.
