I have known Noah Ernst for a decade and have come to respect him for his honesty, effectiveness, and sharp mind. He will make an excellent public servant in the Portland City Council. We can all count on him to improve our city in every way. He is ready and willing to provide “outcome-driven leadership” to Portland.
Here’s Noah’s position on homelessness in our fair city:
”We need to hold the City, Counties, and Metro accountable for ensuring that the programs they fund actually end the homeless crisis in Portland by addressing not just the lack of housing, which is extremely important, but also the intersecting issues of mental health, substance use, and trauma.”
Here’s his position on public safety:
”Every single resident of Portland should feel comfortable calling the police in an emergency, and the police should be empowered to respond appropriately while being held to the highest standard.”
And here is his position on traffic:
”Portland is high on the list of cities with the worst traffic in the nation. I believe that the City should be working to make all forms of transportation as safe and efficient as possible. We should continue to invest in public transportation and bicycle infrastructure. We should also insist traffic on major streets flow as smoothly as possible by stopping the removal of lanes of traffic and restoring those that have been removed.”
