YESSIE, THE NEWEST URBAN ACT FROM GUATEMALA HIGHLIGHTS FEMALE EMPOWERMENT

YESSIE, a Guatemalan newcomer, is ready to establish herself as one of the emerging figures in today’s urban-pop music scene. With songs inspired by everyday life, joys, and hardships, she is capturing the attention of many at an international level.

Having broken into the music industry with hits like “Ruleta,” in collaboration with salsa singer Jonathan Moly, “Donde Sea,” and “Perreo En Lo Obscuro,” YESSIE is now gearing up to debut her first studio album, “GITANA,” this fall. This album, produced by Colombian hitmaker of the moment SOG, is set to feature multiple collaborations with various talents from Puerto Rico’s new wave, promising a rich and diverse listening experience.

YESSIE is not a new face in the Puerto Rican market, as she has previously collaborated with artists such as Jory Boy and Thrigz. Last year, she attracted media attention with her appearance on the red carpet of Premios Juventud and her participation at the World Olympics of the Arts in Hollywood.

Yessie’’s music has also found a viral home on TikTok, with tracks like “Billetes de 100,” “Calor,” and “Ansiedad” achieving significant success on the platform with thousands of creations. These viral songs are a testament to her ability to connect with a broad audience and continue being the next reference of urban-pop.
