On Nick Gamer’s website it says that his music is “where the influence of Lucinda Williams and The Byrds’ ‘Sweetheart of the Rodeo’ manifests in poetic lyrics that offer emotional complexity as varied as the region’s [the Pacific Northwest] rugged beauty and as potent as nostalgia that forces a head-on reckoning with the past,” and that’s a very good description.
Today he is releasing the single “Lowlands” in advance of his upcoming album, ‘Oregoner,’ which will come out Sept. 6, the day his west coast tour will begin.
