Erik Flaa is an alternative rock and indie artist from Oslo, Norway (where it rains consistently like Portland). He was once a well-loved contestant on Norway’s Idol televised singing contest. He is releasing a new single, “The Fence,” right now.
“The Fence” is a melancholic, atmospheric track exploring the limitations of language in an Americocentric world where everyone must communicate in English regardless of their first language and the longing for human connection during long, frigid winters with little or no sunlight in December. The song was recorded at the legendary Atlantis Studio in Stockholm and produced by Georg Buljo, a multiple Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy) winner.
