VVSNCE brings a laidback but relentless flow to the soulful, sax-streaked track. With its mellow groove, “Cute AF” feels made for the night, but our heroine makes it clear that she’s looking her best no matter the time or occasion: “I get cute just ’cause I can, Louis Vuitton to go run errands … I get cute to go check my bank account and go deposit bands / I get cute to pull up on your n—-, pulling up on your man.”
Directed by Haitian Picasso, the “Cute AF” music video picks up with VVSNCE dressed to the nines, leading us through a bodega and into a hidden bar in the back. We alternate between shots of her making herself at home in the speakeasy, and flexing on a rooftop with the city sparkling behind her.
The new single follows VVSNCE’s late-2024 appearance on “Dashboard” from Rich Homie Quan’s posthumous album, Forever Goin In. Before that, she let off a pair of solo singles: the irreverent and sexy “Girls,” an undeniable anthem for female empowerment, and the melodically infectious and tropically tinged “Palm Trees,” which also appeared on the Vulture Lovelabel/collective’s first official project, Vulture Love Presents: The Last Zombies on Earth. Hailing from Atlanta neighborhood The Bluff (made famous by the movie Snow on tha Bluff), VVSNCEhad her first studio session at just 15 years old and has been honing her craft ever since. She brings her unique life experience to every song, making music that’s wholly unique in the crowded rap landscape. Since joining Vulture Love, she’s made appearances on Kodak Black tracks “Roses” and “Starter Kit” while continuing to share her own vision with the world.
