Here’s a gem of Chicago’s yesteryear brought back to my attention by the wild Aussies at “Bottom of the Pops.” This was a “Seagull With a Chip” selection of the week with the able commentary, “Otherwise They Might Start Taking It For Themselves !” The Chi-Lites’ released an album of the same title in 1971 and as far as I can tell from Wiki, the song was written by group stalwart Eugene Record. Christgau gives the work an A-.
