Brooklyn based garage rock trio Sharkmuffin creates super-heavy, jagged, and exceedingly catchy punk rock. Their newest album, Chartreuse, will be released on August 7 and in advance of its release they have paired their lead single “First Date” with a homemade music video.
Sharkmuffin was recently named one of the “20 All-Female Bands You Need to Know” by Billboard. Experienced guitarist Tarra Theissen (vocals/guitar) and Natalie Kirch (vocals/bass) jammed in punk paradise Asbury Park in 2012 and have continued to play together since.
The album features drumming from Patty Schemel (Upset, Death Valley Girls, Hole) and marks a whole new era in their style of music. The noise-punk-meets-psychedelic power pop group has evolved their sound on the new album and the result is a full length filled with ten tracks of commanding hits.
