Since Ibeyi released their critically-acclaimed sophomore album Ash in September 2017 the twins have kept busy touring the globe and collaborating on some incredible projects including: writing an original song “Cleo Who Takes Care Of You” for the ROMA soundtrack, lending their song “Exhibit Diaz” to the film Miss Bala, and contributing to Hamilton’s‘Hamildrop’ series with “Rise Up Wise Up Eyes Up.” Most recently Ibeyi was featured in a short documentary for a Great Big Story’s ‘SOUNDWAVE’ series, which you can watch HERE.
Ibeyi are French-Afro-Cuban twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz. Since the release of their critically-acclaimed, self-titled debut album in 2015 and sophomore album Ash in 2017, Ibeyihave been captivating audiences across the globe with their unique blend of modern pop, hip-hop and electronic influenced with the traditional sounds of Yorùbá. Their art has earned them fans and collaborators in some of the most iconic and crucial artists of today including Beyoncé, Lin Manuel Miranda, Chanel, the photographer JR and Mauro Bigonzetti forAlvin Ailey’s Dance Theatre.
