APOLOGIES IF A VIDEO ISN’T AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY
1 Keel Her – Song For Eddie (12)
Keel Her is back with a new album. Feels like ages since the last, but we’re happy to wait. We could have selected any track from the album, With Kindness. Why not this one.
2 Bill Callaghan – Son of The Sea (19)
And another great artist back with a new album. As above it doesn’t really matter what tune we pick, they are all great.
3 The Lazer – Personal Trainer (18)
This could almost be the Who, the way it kicks off, then falls into a bit of a Parquet Courts vibe. Don’t listen to Fontaines DC, this is so much better with a killer hook. Talking about Fontaines DC, why is everybody banging on about them, they’ve arrived on the coat tails of much better bands.
4 Christian Fitness – Real Tennis (45)
Mainly included because they have a great name and who writes songs about real tennis, good enough for inclusion on those two points.
5 Phillipi & Rodrigo – Barbarella (253)
Very funky piece of current Italo House, BOP lives for hearing this sort of this tune. Quite simply it makes the world a better place ,and by god do we need that. Imagine if we could get rid of Putin and Trump and have Italo 12″s running the world.
6 Possible Humans – Thumps (363)
As you might have noticed we rather like this Melbourne outfit. Great debut album and somewhat addictive.
7 Identified Patient – Lucy’s Comeback (429)
From album , Signals In Snakes. Must listen tune, just in. One of those , don’t bother describing, just listen. And… if you don’t bother you’ll be missing out.
8 Craven Faults – Engine Fields (488)
Dark, moody and subtle with a great build. Have only just come across Craven Faults and love them. As if Palmbolmen suddenly decided to take all the MDMA in the house.
9 DJ Deeon – The 221 (602)
A mid 90’s acid ghetto tech thing that is “vibin” (as my 16 year would say) our speakers this week. More from DJ Deeon in coming weeks methinks.
10 Roxy Girls – Trials & Tribulations (865)
Sunderland post-punk 4-piece, this is what they say on the You Tube, sounds about right. Their new record sees the band expand on previous material, stripping down the post-punk format and remodelling it for current generation. Whilst their vernacular might make The Futureheads an easy (albeit apt) comparison, there is an added breathless intensity and intricacy to their instrumentation that calls to mind the likes of Omni or Gang of Four.

GRAHAM DOMAIN
LOVE & SADNESS . EP
There is something strangely magical about the weirdness of the musical world Graham Domain lives; a throwback to the days of the 80s when Japan and Black skirted around the regions of the hit parade; a soothing charade of yesterdays bedsit clothes and art school glamour songs to lose yourself in; to bathe in the afterglow of a pure sadness; an LP to soundtrack falling in and out of love to and an LP to fall in love with.

THE BORDELLOS
CRABS EP
We have here a delicious anti record shop release by nobody less than the Bordellos. Thank you The Bordellos! You are life savers!
YEAH I KNOW IT SUCKS
The Bordellos are making some of the best pop music I’ve heard, it’s just they’re doing it in such a wilfully obscure way you’ll never hear it.
