APOLOGIES IF A VIDEO ISN’T AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY
1 Tom Dicicco – Mad Dealer (15)
Nice little house / tech work out with genius title
2 The Neutrals – I Can Do That (34)
He can do that! More of that post punky angular guitar stuff that we do love here at BOP. He could have gone to Art School, he could have done that gig. Very “Fire Engines” if that’s your vibe
3 Trash Kit – Chinese Boy (30)
Surprised we don’t hear more songs on the subject. Short and sweet.
4 Tenesha The Wordsmith – Again (40)
Great Nu-Jazz Gil Scot Heron feel to what’s essentially is your classic break up song. “it don’t feel like poetry no more”
5 Lung Butter – Maryland (54)
This week it feels like everything new is old. That’s not essentially a bad thing but this comes straight out of the school of NY No Wave early Sonic Youth vibe.
6 Kumari – Demons (125)
London band are back for another round and they just get fiercer with every recording. Those almost Monkees melodies are still there but the Lennon howl and guitar just get heavier. They are a great live band and are constantly gigging London, somebody give them some festival slots. As we’ve said before they are what Kula Shaker should have sounded like.
7 Batman & Robin – I Feel Pretty Good While Smashing Other People! (164)
Great primitive thrash garage from a few years back. If this doesn’t make you smile , you’re dead.
8 Stonebridge – Digital Shroom ( Swemix) (265)
Wonderful 12 brought to our attention by the Vinyl Factory. The perfect 80’s 12. People getting busy, countdowns, Moroder vibe.. it is everything and more you could ask for in an 80’s remix.
9 Minami Deutsch – Bitter Moon (323)
Another amazing Japanese band we should have been aware of before walking the path of folk, psych, motorik. They have us hooked, sublime stuff indeed.
10 The Vinyl Records – Honeysuckle (774)
The Vinyl Records from India started off sounding like the Runaways, on this track from 2017 there’s elements of Cranberries, Sugarcubes and 21st century pop. Wonderful wonderful band who if they were from another part of the world would have been noticed by a lot more people. Maybe we should tell Burger records about them.

GRAHAM DOMAIN
LOVE & SADNESS . EP
There is something strangely magical about the weirdness of the musical world Graham Domain lives; a throwback to the days of the 80s when Japan and Black skirted around the regions of the hit parade; a soothing charade of yesterdays bedsit clothes and art school glamour songs to lose yourself in; to bathe in the afterglow of a pure sadness; an LP to soundtrack falling in and out of love to and an LP to fall in love with.

THE BORDELLOS
CRABS EP
We have here a delicious anti record shop release by nobody less than the Bordellos. Thank you The Bordellos! You are life savers!
YEAH I KNOW IT SUCKS
The Bordellos are making some of the best pop music I’ve heard, it’s just they’re doing it in such a wilfully obscure way you’ll never hear it.
